Itinerary

Day 1Saturday, May 15 - Arrive Istanbul

  • Arrive in Istanbul, private transfer to the hotel with a private guide.
  • Meet your local guide after passing through passport control and collecting your luggage, then enjoy a private transfer to your hotel, which is located in the heart of the old city. Traveling through from the airport, you’ll learn a bit about this exciting city along the way.
  • Orientation tour of the neighborhood around the hotel in Sultanahmet. Set in a former jailhouse built in 1919, this elegant hotel is within a 10-minute walk of the Ayasofya, a museum in a former church and mosque, Topkapi Palace, and the 17th-century Blue Mosque.
  • Time at leisure, overnight Istanbul.
 

Day 2Sunday, May 16 - Istanbul, Sultanahmet

Full-day Private Walking Tour of Sultanahmet & Bosphorus Cruise

  • Full-day, private, guided walking tour in the old city; visit Hippodrome area, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Basilica Cistern, Topkapi Palace, Spice Market, Grand Bazaar, and Bosphorus cruise along the Bosphorus Strait.

  • Time at leisure, and an overnight Istanbul.

 

Day 3Monday, May 17 - Istanbul, Bosphorus

  • Private Guided Walking Tour & Bosphorus Cruise
  • Full-day private guided walking tour & cruise along the Bosphorus; Visit The Hagia Sophia, then walk through the colorful street of Gulhane and Sirkesci down to Spice Market. Take the public boat from Golden Horn for one and a half hours cruise along the Bosphorus. After the Bosphorus cruise if you like you can take a public ferry with your guide to cross to Kadikoy on the Asian side of the city, there you’ll see the colorful fish and vegetable market as well as nice cafeterias and restaurants.

Day 4Tuesday, May 18 - Istanbul - Cappadocia

 

Transfer to Istanbul airport for flight to Cappadocia

  • Depart from Istanbul Airport (IST)
  • Arrive at Nevsehir Airport (NAV)
  • Transfer to Hotel in Cappadocia
  • Cappadocia tour with a private guide
  • Check-in to the hotel. Situated in a very special geographic region in Cappadocia, this hotel has been designed and created from a distinctive combination of the land and historical features and ruins, some intact and some beautifully restored to their original glory.

Day 5Wednesday, May 19 - Cappadocia

  • Cappadocia Tour with Optional Hot air Balloon Ride

  • Full-day Cappadocia tour with a private guide. Early morning balloon ride then visit Zelve open-air museum, Kaymakli underground city, Uchisar town, and castle, hiking through Pigeon Valley, Monks Valley, and Avanos handicraft workshop.
  • Home Cooking Lunch at Ayvali Village
  • Time at leisure, overnight in Cappadocia

Day 6Thursday, May 20 - Cappadocia - Konya

  • Transfer to Konya with Private Guide.
  • Visit Mevlana Museum
    Mevlana Dergahı (Dervish Lodge) which is presently used as a museum formerly the Rose Garden of the Seljuks Palace it was given as a gift to Mevlana’s father Sultanü’l-Ulema Bahaaeddin Veled by Sultan Alaeddin Keykubad. There are two framed inscriptions which are important as they reflect the thoughts and philosophy of Mevlana. The first frame is in Turkish and says: “Either seem as you are or be as you seem”. The second frame is a quatrain of Mevlana in Persian.

    In translation it reads:
    “Come, Come who or whatever you are
    Should you be an unbeliever, a
    Magian or a pagan still come
    Our lodge is not a lodge of despair
    With hundred repentions unheeded you may be, still, come”

  • Konya walking tour along the landmarks of the city center
    Visit Aziziye Mosque, Konya Bazaar, Selcuk Alaaddin Keykubat Mosque and Selcuklu Tower.
  • Time at leisure, and an overnight Konya

Day 7Friday, May 21 - Konya - Pamukkale

  • Transfer to Pamukkale with a private guide
  • Pamukkale Tour
    Visit Hierapolis ancient site, picturesque cotton white water terraces, and Aphrodisias Museum.
  • Time at leisure, and an overnight Pamukkale

Day 8Saturday, May 22 - Pamukkale - Şirince

  • Private transfer to Sirince
  • Tour of Şirince Village
    Drive to Şirince village in Selçuk town and enjoy this cute village in the afternoon at leisure.
  • Overnight in Şirince Hotel. In the lovely garden, an array of roses were planted where the ‘Mansion’ gets its name from. In 2001, the building was registered as a historical property and is now being protected with strict guidelines by the government.

Day 9Sunday, May 23 - Şirince, Ephesus Ancient Site

  • Private transfer to Ephesus Ancient Site
    Visit Ephesus ancient site (one of the most beautiful archeological sites dating back to 1st C AD. The ruins you’ll see are all from the Roman Imperial Period from 1st, up to 6th C AD) including the recently opened Terrace Houses section.
  • Time at leisure, and an overnight Sirince.

Day 10Monday, May 24 - Sirince - Sultankoy - Bodrum

  • Transfer to Bodrum with a private guide
  • Lunch at Sultankoy
    Learn about the local rug-making process which includes silk extraction, dyeing, and weaving. Then, break for a fresh and organic al fresco lunch using ingredients from Sultankoy’s own farm and orchards.
  • Visit Mausoleum of Halicarnassus
    The Mausoleum at Halicarnassus or Tomb of Mausolus was a tomb built between 353 and 350 BC at Halicarnassus for Mausolus, a satrap in the Persian Empire, and his sister-wife Artemisia II of Caria.
  • Visit Bodrum Underwater Archaeology Museum
    Museum in Bodrum Castle featuring artifacts from ancient shipwrecks & a large collection of glass.
  • Check in to Bodrum Hotel
