Thailand holds a special place in the hearts of travelers. Whether it’s beaches, mountains, nature, culture, food, or nightlife, Thailand offers hard-to-beat options at extraordinary value. With tropical vibes, friendly people, and seamless tourism infrastructure, its little wonder why people visit this kaleidoscopic nation over and over again. A great deal of Thailand’s appeal is due to its geography. Thailand is blessed with two long, sinuous coastlines snaking their way down the gorgeous Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand. All that glitters are not just gold, but brilliant shades of azure and green accompanied by the swaying of palm trees amidst towering karst mountains and languid prismatic waters that make Thailand a tropical dream incarnate.
Embrace the intoxicating mélange of spirituality, history and modernity that defines Bangkok. Explore iconic sites and lesser-known gems, learning about the city’s deep-rooted traditions and fascinating past. Travel by longtail boat through the maze of canals for a glimpse of local life in the modern metropolis.
Take a long-tail boat through Bangkok’s canals to discover the city’s local ways of life and iconic monuments. Start with a ride along the Chao Phraya River, also known as ‘River of Kings’. Admire the passing skyline where glittering pagodas stand in the shadows of towering skyscrapers.
See why Bangkok is often called the ‘Venice of the East’, while cruising along the intricate network of canals. Capture glimpses of small villages on the water’s edge and enjoy the slower pace of life away from the city center.
Take a short boat trip across the Chao Phraya River to Bang Kra Jao, an area nicknamed the ‘Bangkok Jungle’. Although located not far from the city’s bustling business district, sleepy Bang Kra Jao feels worlds away and is the perfect place for a bike ride.
Spend a day in paradise. Leave the crowded beaches of Phuket aboard a private, long tail boat that has been customized for ultimate comfort. Cast off and head to turquoise waters during this full-day boat trip to Phang Nga Bay.
Pass by ‘James Bond’ Island, slowing down for photos of this beautiful, but touristy, site. Venture further afield to discover dramatic limestone karsts jutting out of the water and a pristine mangrove forest. Relax and enjoy the views as the boat glides across the Bay. The boat captain will seek out a secluded beach for a chance to swim in the clear waters or sunbathe on the white sandy shores.
The day continues with a visit to a privately-owned island. Go ashore at this tropical paradise and explore the tranquil beaches which are blissfully free of development. A barbeque of fresh seafood will be prepared for lunch in this incredible setting.
Spend the rest of the day swimming and lounging about, soaking up the sun’s rays and the serene atmosphere.
Optional diving/snorkeling tour
